Kenya Girls Forward

Education that Empowers

In 2011, Carolyn Witt Jones and the late Jo B. Robertson envisioned a collective effort to fund education for girls in Kenya, so they founded the Kenya Girls Forward Fund which has thus far supported 118 students who would otherwise not have access to secondary school.

HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION IN KENYA IS NOT FREE.

The cost of room and board, uniforms, and school supplies is unaffordable for these bright young girls who yearn for a better life. The girls know that to succeed and break their cycle of poverty, they must go to school. 85% of Kenyan girls live in poverty. An education means freedom and is a springboard for their success and improved lives for all in their families.
